NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
0610 PM CDT Sun May 01 2022

Areas affected...TX South Plains to southeast CO

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 167...

Valid 012310Z - 020045Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 167
continues.

SUMMARY...Severe threat continues across the entire watch region.

DISCUSSION...Numerous strong/severe thunderstorms have developed
across the High Plains from southeast CO to south of LBB. 30kt LLJ
has developed along this corridor and speeds will increase after
sunset which should encourage additional development/clustering
across this region. Latest MRMS data suggests large hail is
occurring with many of these storms and warm advection will likely
contribute to an MCS by late this evening.
