...Severe thunderstorms expected over parts of the Mid South to the
lower Ohio Valley This afternoon and evening...

* LOCATIONS...
  Central and eastern Arkansas
  Western Tennessee
  Northern Mississippi
  Southeastern Missouri
  Western Kentucky
  Southern Illinois
  Southwestern Indiana
  Northern Louisiana
  Northwestern Alabama

* HAZARDS...
  Widespread damaging winds, some hurricane force
  Several tornadoes, a few intense
  Scattered large hail, some baseball size

* SUMMARY...
  Numerous severe thunderstorms are expected today across the
  Mid-South, lower/middle Mississippi Valley, and Lower Ohio
  Valley. Tornadoes, some of which will be strong, widespread and
  potentially significant damaging thunderstorm winds, and large
  hail are likely especially within the Moderate and Enhanced Risk
  areas.
