The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Southeast Montana
Northwest South Dakota
Northeast Wyoming
* Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 455 PM until
1100 PM MDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75
mph possible
Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
SUMMARY...Isolated supercells and small bowing clusters are expected
to move quickly east-southeastward across southeast Montana late
this afternoon/evening, and into northwest South Dakota and possibly
extreme northeast Wyoming. The main threat will be severe outflow
gusts up to 75 mph, along with isolated large hail of 1 to 1.5
inches in diameter.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50
statute miles north and south of a line from 70 miles west of
Broadus MT to 40 miles north of Philip SD. For a co*plete depiction

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
