The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Western Nebraska
  Southwest South Dakota
  Eastern Wyoming

* Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 1255 PM until
  700 PM MDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events
    to 2.5 inches in diameter possible
  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75
    mph possible

SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are expected to increase in coverage and
intensity across eastern WY and adjacent portions of southwest SD
and western NE. The environment supports supercells capable of large
to very large hail as well as strong wind gusts. Some wind gusts
could exceed 75 mph, particularly across portions of western NE.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 105
statute miles east and west of a line from 35 miles east of Sidney
NE to 25 miles northwest of Rapid City SD. For a co*plete depiction

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
