NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
0521 PM CDT Tue Jun 07 2022

Areas affected...Southwestern Nebraska

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 321...

Valid 072221Z - 072345Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 321
continues.

SUMMARY...Severe thunderstorms will spread across southwestern
Nebraska this evening.

DISCUSSION...Well-defined short-wave trough is ejecting across WY
late this afternoon. Scattered convection is maturing ahead of this
feature across the NE Panhandle where weak upslope flow is currently
noted ahead of the primary frontal surge. Latest radar trends
suggest an MCS may be evolving across central portions of ww321 and
subsequent movement will be southeast across the remainder of the
watch toward the KS border region later this evening. While large
hail is likely occurring with discrete supercells, more linear
development is likely with time. Wind will beco*e more co*mon
if/when the squall line develops.
