Day 1 Convective Outlook
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
0742 PM CDT Sat Apr 09 2022

Valid 100100Z - 101200Z

...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...

...SUMMARY...
Severe thunderstorms are not expected through tonight.

...01Z Update...
Convective showers may continue into late evening across parts of
the Northeast and Mid Atlantic, though a general diminishing trend
is expected with the onset of nocturnal cooling/stabilization.
Further west, high-based convection across the central Rockies/High
Plains may continue to produce sporadic lightning flashes into the
late evening as a midlevel shortwave trough moves across the region.
Very limited buoyancy should tend to limit the thunderstorm threat
across the Pacific Northwest, though an isolated flash or two cannot
be ruled out with stronger convective showers into mid/late evening.
