The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Northern Minnesota
Eastern North Dakota
* Effective this Monday morning from 245 AM until 1000 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter likely
Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are expected to spread northward across the
watch area this morning, moving up from central MN and northeastern
SD and developing over the area as well. Activity will offer mainly
large hail, with isolated severe gusts also a concern.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 65
statute miles north and south of a line from 45 miles west northwest
of Fargo ND to 80 miles northeast of Brainerd MN. For a co*plete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
