Areas affected...Eastern Minnesota...Western Wisconsin

Concerning...Tornado Watch 203...204...

Valid 120244Z - 120415Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 203, 204 continues.

SUMMARY...A bowing line of intense thunderstorms will continue
eastward across western Wisconsin this evening, posing a risk of
locally damaging wind gusts.

DISCUSSION...Latest radar loop shows a large bow echo co*plex moving
into western WI at 35-40 knots. Numerous reports of damaging wind
gusts and hail have been reported in the past 2 hours as the
activity moved across southern MN.  These storms are now primarily
north of the surface warm front, with the near-surface layer
beco*ing more stable with time.  Storms are also moving away from
steeper lapse rates and CAPE, suggesting an overall weakening trend
should occur during the next few hours.  Nevertheless, locally
damaging wind gusts will remain possible along the leading edge of
storms.

Farther south, an isolated storm remains over Freeborn county of
southern MN.  These storm is just south of the surface warm front,
and near an outflow boundary that surged ahead of the bow earlier
this evening.  Enhanced low-level shear and vorticity in vicinity of
the boundaries could aid in a localized severe or tornado threat for
another 1-2 hours in this area.
