Valid 141200Z - 151200Z
...NO CRITICAL AREAS...
The previous forecast remains on track, with RH across the Plains
states still too high in guidance consensus to warrant the
introduction of Elevated highlights. Please see the previous
forecast below for more details.

.PREV DISCUSSION... /ISSUED 0254 AM CDT Tue Sep 13 2022/
...Synopsis...
Broad large-scale troughing and modest west-southwesterly midlevel
flow will persist across the western states. At the same time, a
series of embedded shortwave impulses will overspread the
Intermountain West and north-central Rockies, with the latter
reinforcing a lee surface low over the northern Plains.
...North-Central Plains...
A tight pressure gradient peripheral to the lee surface low over the
northern Plains will favor breezy southerly surface winds near 15-20
mph (with higher gusts) across much of the northern and central
Plains. While increasing moisture advection and cloud coverage
should limit RH reductions across this area, pockets of elevated
conditions will still be possible where diurnal heating/mixing is
maximized. Currently, any overlap of breezy winds and low RH appears
too localized for highlights, though trends will be monitored
closely.
