Actor John Krasinski established himself as one of horror’s most important directors with the release of 2024’s IF. But before that, he was doing his best impression of the Gracie Films silhouette with A Quiet Place. Ironically, the film was a loud word-of-mouth hit, prompting the actor-director to return to direct but not star in A Quiet Place Part II, handing shushing duties to his real-life wife, Emily Blunt. The Quiet Place franchise pressed on without Kasinski, who pivoted to Amazon and imaginary friends in the intervening years, producing the critically and co*mercially successful A Quiet Place: Day One. But all is not quiet on the on the screeching alien front. Producer Brad Fuller believes that once Krasinski gets a second to himself, he’ll begin work on a proper threequel.

Speaking to The Direct, Fuller clarifies that “Day One is not A Quiet Place 3,” which “we’re starting to put together right now.” Fuller puts the delay on Krasinski, who “had just co*e off The Office and wanted to be a director,” when A Quiet Place was simply what parents called their crawl space that the kids don’t know about yet. “Now, he’s so in demand, and it’s hard to get him.” Fuller continues. “He’s making a movie now, so as soon as he finishes that, hopefully, he will turn his attention to [A Quiet Place 3]. We all want to finish that trilogy, and I’m hopeful there’s even more Quiet Place movies beyond that.” Ever so silently, not much louder than a whisper, it sounds like A Quiet Place is going to be telling people to “shut the hell up because there are aliens” for many years co*e.
