The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Central to southern Illinois
  East-central to south-central Missouri

* Effective this Wednesday afternoon and evening from 150 PM
  until 900 PM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

SUMMARY...Slow-moving clusters should develop along an outflow
boundary and spread south-southeast into this evening. Damaging
winds will be the primary hazard.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70
statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles northwest of
Champaign IL to 50 miles south of Fort Leonard Wood MO. For a

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
