Day 1 Convective Outlook
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
0745 PM CDT Sat Jul 30 2022

Valid 310100Z - 311200Z

...THERE IS A MARGINAL RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS MUCH OF
NORTH DAKOTA...

...SUMMARY...
Isolated strong gusts and hail will be possible for a few more hours
across parts of North Dakota.

...01Z Update...

The Marginal risk has been removed from SD and northeast MT with the
01z update. A marginal risk continues across much of ND. 00z RAOBs
from ABR and BIS indicate an environment marginally favorable for
strong gusts and hail. Convection has generally been sub-severe so
far this evening, with some weakening in discrete cells over central
ND noted. Nevertheless a line of convection ahead of an
eastward-advancing cold front will continue to move across northern
ND. Additional cells are also developing to the south of this line
across west-central ND. This activity may produce sporadic strong
gusts and marginally severe hail through the evening/early overnight
hours.
