...Synopsis...
While the upper ridge will persist across the Interior West through
tomorrow/Sunday, a mid-level trough attempting to pivot around the
ridge will impinge on the Pacific Northwest by afternoon. At least
isolated high-based thunderstorm development is expected across much
of central Oregon into far northern California. A modest increase in
mid-level flow is also expected tomorrow, which may foster faster
moving storms co*pared to previous days, warranting the introduction
of relatively more expansive dry thunderstorm highlights. Otherwise,
locally dry and breezy conditions may acco*pany the passage of a
surface low/cold front across the northern Plains. However, the lack
of longer term overlapping favorable surface winds/RH and spotty
receptiveness of fuels precludes fire weather highlights this
outlook.
