The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Northeast Minnesota
  Far Northwest Wisconsin
  Lake Superior

* Effective this Wednesday afternoon and evening from 210 PM
  until 700 PM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
    to 75 mph possible
  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

SUMMARY...A well-organized, bowing co*plex of thunderstorms should
continue to pose a threat for mainly severe/damaging winds up to
around 65-75 mph as it moves quickly east-northeastward this
afternoon and early evening.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50
statute miles east and west of a line from 40 miles northwest of
Hibbing MN to 75 miles south southwest of Duluth MN. For a co*plete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
