The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Southwest Virginia
  Southeast West Virginia

* Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 540 PM until
  1000 PM EDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible

SUMMARY...Multicell clusters will spread east-southeast from
southern West Virginia into parts of southwest Virginia this
evening.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35
statute miles north and south of a line from 30 miles west northwest
of Dublin VA to 35 miles northeast of Lynchburg VA. For a co*plete

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
