The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of
  Northeast Iowa
  Southeast Minnesota

* Effective this Tuesday night from 750 PM until Midnight CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
  Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter likely

SUMMARY...A cluster of intense supercell thunderstorms over northern
Iowa will likely persist for a few more hours.  These storms may
continue to pose a risk of tornadoes, large hail, and damaging wind
gusts.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 35 statute miles
east and west of a line from 10 miles east of Rochester MN to 65
miles south of Rochester MN. For a co*plete depiction of the watch

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.
