The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
  Western and Southern North Dakota
  Northern South Dakota

* Effective this Sunday night and Monday morning from 830 PM
  until 300 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75
    mph possible
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
    inches in diameter possible

SUMMARY...A cluster of severe storms including an embedded supercell
or two will move generally eastward into southwest North Dakota this
evening, while additional storms develop along the
south-central/northeast North Dakota and northern South Dakota
border vicinity. Large hail and damaging winds are the primary
hazards, with a severe risk expected to persist into the early
overnight hours.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 130
statute miles east and west of a line from 55 miles north northwest
of Bismarck ND to 65 miles east southeast of Lemmon SD. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
