The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Eastern Montana

* Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 350 PM until
  1100 PM MDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3
    inches in diameter likely
  Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
    to 85 mph possible
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...A moist/unstable environment exists across eastern
Montana. Storms are intensifying across east-central Montana at
mid-afternoon, with multiple rounds of severe storms including
supercells expected to move across the region through evening. Large
hail/damaging winds aside, the potential for a tornado could also
develop by early evening.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 115
statute miles north and south of a line from 95 miles southwest of
Glasgow MT to 15 miles north northeast of Baker MT. For a co*plete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
