The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  South-central North Dakota
  Western and Central South Dakota

* Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 750 PM
  until 200 AM MDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

SUMMARY...Initially semi-isolated strong to severe thunderstorms
across western South Dakota and southwest North Dakota will continue
generally east-southeastward, perhaps further organizing into
clusters into the late evening hours. These storms should persist
into portions of central South Dakota/south-central North Dakota
through the early overnight hours with severe hail/wind possible.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70
statute miles north and south of a line from 30 miles east southeast
of Mobridge SD to 20 miles west of Buffalo SD. For a co*plete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.

1.5 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 60 knots. A
