The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  District Of Columbia
  Delaware
  Central to eastern Maryland
  Central to southern New Jersey
  Southeast Pennsylvania
  Central to northern Virginia
  Coastal Waters

* Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 300 PM until
  900 PM EDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible

SUMMARY...Initial severe threat will exist with slow-moving
thunderstorms across central Virginia. Additional storms should
develop from southeast Pennsylvania and central Maryland, spreading
east towards the Mid-Atlantic coast through early evening.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70
statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles north northwest
of Philadelphia PA to 45 miles west southwest of Patuxent River MD.

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
