Areas affected...Western Kansas

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 352...

Valid 130208Z - 130415Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 352
continues.

SUMMARY...Severe threat will spread across central into northeastern
portions of ww352 over the next few hours.

DISCUSSION...Weak short-wave trough appears to be associated with
convection across western KS. LLJ may be responding a bit to this
feature with 850mb speeds now approaching 35kt across the TX
Panhandle, with strengthening expected into central KS. A
northwest/southeast-oriented squall line has emerged over western KS
and this convection is propagating northeast at roughly 35kt. Gusty
winds with some hail should spread into northeast portions of ww352
over the next 1-2 hours.
