The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
South Central Nebraska
* Effective this Monday afternoon from 540 PM until Midnight CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
inches in diameter likely
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
SUMMARY...Isolated intense thunderstorms will track southeastward
across Nebraska into the watch area this evening. Large to very
large hail is the main threat.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50
statute miles north and south of a line from 60 miles southwest of
Broken Bow NE to 25 miles east southeast of Grand Island NE. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
