The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Tornado Watch for portions of
Western and Central Iowa
Eastern and South-Central Kansas
Northwest Missouri
Southeast Nebraska
* Effective this Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning from 525 PM
until 100 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
A couple tornadoes possible
Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events
to 3 inches in diameter possible
Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75
mph possible
SUMMARY...Severe storms are expected to develop across the region
through early evening and move northeastward, with an additional
secondary round of development expected later this evening farther
west near the cold front. Damaging winds and very large hail are
possible aside from the potential for at least a couple of
tornadoes.
The tornado watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles
east and west of a line from 25 miles northwest of Mason City IA to
45 miles south of Wichita KS. For a co*plete depiction of the watch

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.
