Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 266
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK

The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
  South Texas

* Effective this Monday night from 625 PM until Midnight CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
    inches in diameter possible
  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...Multiple supercells will pose a threat for large hail,
possibly approaching baseballs, through this evening.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50
statute miles east and west of a line from 10 miles east of Cotulla
TX to 60 miles southeast of Laredo TX. For a co*plete depiction of

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
