The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of
  Southwest Arkansas
  Northwest Louisiana
  Northeast into central Texas

* Effective this Thursday morning and evening from 1010 AM until
  600 PM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  A couple tornadoes possible
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
    inches in diameter possible

SUMMARY...Scattered severe thunderstorms are expected to develop
this morning through the afternoon and move east across the watch
area.  Damaging gusts and a few tornadoes are possible, in addition
to large hail with any robust supercells.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 90 statute miles
east and west of a line from 45 miles northwest of El Dorado AR to
10 miles south southwest of Austin TX. For a co*plete depiction of

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.

AVIATION...Tornadoes and a few severe thunderstorms with hail
surface and aloft to 2 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind
gusts to 60 knots. A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 500. Mean
storm motion vector 24035.
