Day 1 Convective Outlook
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
0751 PM CDT Sat Aug 20 2022

Valid 210100Z - 211200Z

...THERE IS A MARGINAL RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM THE OZARKS
TO THE UPPER OHIO VALLEY...

...SUMMARY...
A few severe storms, acco*panied by local risk for strong wind gusts
and hail, will continue this evening from the Ozarks to parts of
Lower Michigan and the Upper Ohio Valley.

...Discussion...
Scattered strong thunderstorms -- with a couple of
embedded/potentially severe storms -- are ongoing at this time from
northwestern Indiana southwestward into southern Missouri.
Meanwhile, a line of strong/locally severe storms continues moving
across parts of eastern Ohio.

Gradual diurnal stabilization is underway across the region, which
will continue -- contributing to a very gradual decrease in storm
intensity this evening.  Until then, zones of lingering moderate
instability will continue to support a few severe storms, mainly
capable of strong wind gusts.
