...THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THE
SOUTHEAST...AND PARTS OF THE CENTRAL PLAINS...

...SUMMARY...
Scattered severe thunderstorms capable of producing mainly damaging
wind gusts remain possible over parts of northern New England, the
Southeast, and across parts of the central Plains.

...01z Update...

Mid-level trough is ejecting across QC/northern New England early
this evening. Influence of this feature will quickly shift east of
ME and trailing convection that extends across northern ME should
gradually wane, especially as the boundary layer begins to cool over
the next few hours.

Multiple thunderstorm clusters that merged over the southern
Appalachians earlier this afternoon are now propagating
south-southwest within weakening flow field. Primary concern for the
next several hours remains over central AL but isolated storms are
also forming west across MS. Overall severe threat should gradually
shift south through the evening hours.

High-based thunderstorms evolved over western NE shortly after peak
heating. This activity is begun to cluster a bit as it propagates
toward central/south-central NE. LLJ will likely strengthen a bit
after sunset and this may contribute to some convective longevity,
especially given the local reservoir of buoyancy that currently
resides immediately downstream of this activity.  Some threat for
isolated severe storms also exists for the next several hours with
storms that are spreading across southern ND toward northeast SD.
Large hail and gusty winds remain the threats with these storms.
