Ivana Trump’s cause of death has been revealed. The New York City medical examiner revealed on Friday, Trump died of “blunt force trauma to her torso” after falling down a flight of stairs. The medical examiner added that her death was accidental.


Trump was found dead in her apartment on Wednesday, when local police performed a wellness check after a resident in the building informed the police she had not seen Trump in a while. Prior to her death the first wife of the former president suffered from hip pain and required help to walk around.




In a statement, the Trump children remembered their mother as “an incredible woman, a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend.”


“Ivana Trump was a survivor,” they wrote. “She fled from co*munism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit, toughness, co*passion and determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren.”




President Donald Trump and Ivana’s marriage came to an end in 1992 after reports linked him to model and actress Marla Maples, who would beco*e Trump’s second wife. The messy divorce dominated the front pages of the city’s papers, but the pair remained close after the split.


Out of respect he rescheduled his Save America rally in Arizona to next Friday. Ivana was 73-years-old.
