The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  North-central Nebraska

* Effective this Monday night from 730 PM until Midnight CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events
    to 3 inches in diameter possible
  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75
    mph possible

SUMMARY...A long-lived, well-organized supercell may continue to
pose a threat for severe hail and gusts for a few more hours as it
moves east-northeastward, near and just north of a slow-moving cold
front. Isolated severe hail/gusts also may occur with any convection
developing near the front, to its east.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 25
statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles southwest of
Valentine NE to 20 miles northeast of Oneill NE. For a co*plete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
