The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Eastern Montana
  Western South Dakota
  Northeast Wyoming

* Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 505 PM until
  1100 PM MDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Isolated significant damaging wind gusts to 75 mph possible
  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

SUMMARY...Isolated severe storms are expected to develop, initially
across far northeast Wyoming into southeast Montana and possibly
western South Dakota. Storms should reach east-central and possibly
northeast Montana later this evening. Storms may remain very
isolated overall, but a few locally intense storms can be expected
with large hail and severe-caliber wind gusts.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles north northwest
of Wolf Point MT to 65 miles south southeast of Gillette WY. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
