...THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS PORTIONS OF
THE CENTRAL/SOUTHERN PLAINS...
...SUMMARY...
Scattered severe thunderstorms are expected across the central
Plains this evening. Large hail and damaging winds remain possible.
...01z Update...
Upper ridge remains positioned over central WY early this evening.
Modest northwesterly 500mb flow, on the order of 30kt, extends
across the Black Hills into central NE. Scattered severe
thunderstorms are now expanding in areal coverage along the frontal
zone, loosely oriented along I-80. This activity should gradually
propagate south into weak low-level 850mb flow. Several hr** members
agree that one, or more, thunderstorm clusters will grow upscale as
convection moves south of the NE border. Hail and wind remain the
primary concern with this activity as it evolves over the central
Plains.
