NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
0758 PM CDT Wed Jun 01 2022

Valid 020100Z - 021200Z

...THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS PORTIONS OF
WESTERN TO NORTHERN TEXAS AND VICINITY...

...SUMMARY...
Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms remain possible this
evening in a narrow corridor extending from parts of Texas into the
northern Mid Atlantic region. Some of these will pose a risk for
producing severe wind and hail.

A moist and unstable air mass will remain over the Southern Plains
through tonight, ahead of a cold front pushing slowly south into
Texas. This boundary will stretch from central into northeast Texas
by 12Z Thursday, though storms will remain possible north of it due
to weak low-level warm advection. For more information on storms in
the west/north Texas area, see mesoscale discussions 1006 and 1009,
and watch 302.

Elsewhere, storms from the Ohio Valley into the Northeast may
produce isolated damaging gusts or small hail in the near term, but
the loss of heating and minimal large-scale support should allow for
a continued weakening trend. See watch 301 for more information.
