NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
0724 PM CDT Sat May 07 2022

Areas affected...Northern Nebraska to Central South Dakota

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 190...

Valid 080024Z - 080200Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 190
continues.

SUMMARY...Severe threat will advance east this evening. Hail and
wind remain possible.

DISCUSSION...Several supercells have matured within/near ww190 early
this evening. MRMS data suggests these storms are likely producing
hail as they move east at roughly 30kt. LLJ has increased a bit over
the last hour, but LBF sounding this evening was notably capped.
Additionally, the air mass is not particularly moist with only 0.83
PW resulting in SBCAPE on the order of 1500 J/kg. Given the steep
lapse rates and the organized nature of this activity, it appears a
continued eastward progression will be maintained for the next
several hours, especially given the strengthening LLJ.
