Day 1 Convective Outlook
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
0757 PM CDT Wed Aug 31 2022

Valid 010100Z - 011200Z

...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...

...SUMMARY...
Organized severe thunderstorms are not forecast across the
contiguous United States tonight.

...Synopsis...
Early evening water-vapor imagery shows an upper-level trough moving
southeast across the central High Plains and another disturbance
over the Pacific NW.  These upper features are rotating around the
periphery of a mid to upper-level ridge centered over the
north-central Rockies.  Farther east, a vigorous mid-level trough is
pivoting through the base of a larger-scale trough centered over
Quebec.  Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will remain possible in
association with the three aforementioned disturbances this evening.
Waning instability will likely lead to both a reduction in
thunderstorm coverage this evening and weakening storms.
