...Synopsis...
Zonal mid-level flow will characterize the upper-air pattern over
the CONUS today, with multiple mid-level impulses poised to traverse
the Northeast, northern Plains, and Interior West. Surface high
pressure and resultant cooler temperatures will overspread the
eastern and northwest CONUS as a surface low develops across the
southern Plains. Overall cool and calm conditions are expected over
most of the CONUS, and while breezy southerly flow will acco*pany
the southern Plains surface cyclone, RH reductions in this region
should be minimal. As such, quiescent fire weather conditions are
expected, with no fire weather highlights added this outlook.
