Day 2 Fire Weather Outlook
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
1159 PM CST Mon Nov 25 2024

Valid 271200Z - 281200Z

...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

...Synopsis...
A broad mid-level trough will deepen slightly across the central
CONUS, encouraging a surface low to traverse the Lower Mississippi
Valley as a cold front sweeps across the central and southern CONUS
tomorrow (Wednesday). Appreciable precipitation accumulations may
precede the surface low/mid-level trough, with cold temperatures
behind the cold front enveloping the Interior West and Plains
states. The net result will be quiescent fire weather conditions
over most the U.S. One small exception may be western Texas, where
dry and breezy conditions may acco*pany downslope flow. Still, fuels
in this region are marginally receptive, so fire weather spread
potential should remain brief and localized at best.
