...Synopsis...
The upper-level trough over the West will gradually de-amplify
throughout the day as an upper-level ridge over the central CONUS
builds and beco*e more expansive. Despite this evolution, enough
residual southwesterly mid-level flow will remain over parts of the
Great Basin region to produce sustained winds near 15 mph with RH
values into the teens for a few hours during the afternoon. With
fuels remaining receptive to large-fire spread, elevated
fire-weather conditions will be possible.
