...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA FOR PORTIONS OF THE EASTERN GREAT
BASIN...

...Synopsis...
A blocked upper pattern is expected tomorrow/Sunday, with fire
weather conditions being very similar to Day 1 (today). As upper
ridging persists across the Rockies into the Plains, a mid-level
trough will remain stationary across the Interior West, supporting
surface cyclone development across the Great Basin. Elevated to
Critically dry and windy surface conditions will once again occur
across the Great Basin tomorrow afternoon. Scattered thunderstorms
capable of erratic, potentially severe wind gusts (see Day 2
Convective Outlook) are also likely by afternoon peak heating across
the Pacific Northwest. As on Day 1, fuels are not expected to be
appreciably receptive to fire spread on a widespread basis,
precluding dry thunderstorm highlights.
