If you’re the kind of person who really looks forward to finding out who’s going to host Saturday Night Live every three to four weeks, have we got good news for you. There’s another weekly live co*edy show that looks like it’ll be announcing guests a few at a time. Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney starts this Wednesday on Netflix, and the show has just revealed its first round of guests.
Joining host Mulaney this Wednesday will be Joan Baez, Michael Keaton, Fred Armisen, and personal finance columnist Jessica Roy. These are all pretty good gets, but this writer is admittedly most curious about the latter, as it’s simply not the kind of interviewee that he expected from Everybody’s Live. Might Mulaney have some kind of recurring Suze Orman segment à la Oprah Winfrey? Anything is possible on live television. The episode will also feature music from Cypress Hill.
Everybody’s Live will run weekly for 12 episodes beginning on March 12, with Richard Kind returning as emcee after working with Mulaney on Everybody’s In L.A. Co-showrunner Ashley Eden also returns, along with new additions Dave Ferguson and John Foy. The show will run live (allegedly, barring no tech issues) on Netflix at 10 pm ET/7 pm PT.
